My Summer Internship Experience

This summer I got the opportunity to intern with Osmosys Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. As part of the Summer Training Program provided in the curriculum of my 6th Semester.

I got this amazing opportunity with the help of Bennett University Placement Cell. The selection process was based on Resume Selection. The one-month training program at Osmosys Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. helped me improve my basics in field of Computer Science.

I would like to thank my mentors Ms. Sindhusha Balla and Mr. Himanshu Agrahari at Osmosys Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for their guidance and assistance at every step of my journey with Osmosys. They provided me the opportunity to learn from CS50 course provided by Harvard University, which helped me to improve my basics. The course helped me to develop my technical skills like- C, C++, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL.

The course helped me to write clean and neat codes and brainstorm on various techniques to find the right approach to the questions. The mentors helped me at every phase of the internship and helped me gain technical experience.

I am utilizing a lot of concepts explained in course in my work. For instance, many of the theories have given me the necessary experience to help me navigate challenging assignments. One thing I’ve learned about myself is that there are many various ways I can learn. One of them, and the one I have historically used, is to simply do something until you learn it. I have begun developing my talents and learning new things at my internship by observing what others are doing and determining what I can learn from them.

The mentors used to conduct MCQ and Coding challenges, every week to check the progress and prepare all of us for the interview preparation. They used to grade us in each exam and gave us proper feedback to improve us for future exams.

In the end of internship, they conducted interviews for all the interns. The duration for interview’s were 50 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. My interview duration was for 1 hour 15 minutes where they checked my basic concepts, coding skills, projects, etc. They also evaluated me based on my previous internship experiences. I cleared the interview round and was selected for second round of the interview which was for 20 minutes — 25 minutes. In this round, the interviewer checked my typing skills as well as my communication skills. He also asked me about my projects.

Later, I cleared the second round and was among the 14 selected students from my university. I got an offer from Osmosys Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to join them as a Full Time Employee. They offered me for the paid internship and Pre-Placement Offer.
